The Bush/McCain challenge

I’m posting a lot lately. Guess I’m getting excited for the upcoming day when Bush is no longer our president. Here is another reason why McCain won’t replace him:

I would like to see that longer and I sure hope we see that or something like it on the boob tube… maybe more voters would pay attention if some big name stars did this….

Yeah, well, it’s a 30 second commercial. They’ve got to be fast. By the way, did you see the “Obama in 30 seconds” spots? They’re awesome. I was in one. Here are the top 5.

Yes associate McCain with Bush as much as possible. You want to run against Bush again. Sore losers. Guess why so many conservatives are unhappy with McCain’s nomination, because he is moderate. How about this for example, he wants to tax us for our CO2 emissions. I bet you would love that.

McCain is a badass:

I really like john cusack. I completely disagree with the underlying motivation behind the ad. Lots of quick sound bites and no amplifying information. Easy for home consumption of those looking to have their perceptions validated without investigating their perceptions and the issues first.

Eli, I do love the idea of cap and trade. It’s a great capitalistic compromise to help with our CO2 problems. I was a sore loser back in 2000 when the election was stolen. I was very sad for my country in 2004 when Bush was legitimately elected and now that Bush’s approval is 23% it makes perfect sense to compare McCain to him… and in many ways, McCain has indeed pandered to Bush’s positions and against his prior “convictions”. So yeah, he’s more moderate than Bush. But on VERY important issues, he’s not that different.

Joel, it’s a 30 second TV ad. It surprises you that it doesn’t have time to go into the bibliography? Like Steve said, a longer version with more info would be nice.

But hey, you want some facts to back the statements up? Here you go:
McCain and the GI bill
McCain and his advisers
The others are more obvious so I won’t waste the time to find the links :)
